Tinkerbell....the dog, not the fairy

While my parent's were gone for the week to Minnesota, they decided we needed to babysit for them for a change. So we had their dog Tinkerbell for a week. The kids had great fun with her and she was a good dog, but NO THIS DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE GETTING A DOG!!! (at least not yet.)

Yes, I know this is old news, but I ran across these pictures on my camera and thought you might be interested to see just how much water we had. (Notice in the bottom picture the water is at our sidewalk and at the foundation of our neighbor's house.

Ok, not sure what it happening with our blog- some of you say our pictures are really small and hard to see, some of you say that the pictures are all smooshed together, and others say it looks just fine. On our computer it looks fine. So, for all you blog geniuses out there- help me out- is the problem on my end and how do I fix it????????

Brian has been gone this weekend to Texas to perform a wedding (and no he did NOT drop the rings this time!). While he was away my friend Sarah came over with her little girl Brooklyn. So instead of remodeling a room I decided to take pictures instead. These are a few of my favorites.

Our beloved Gigi

We are sad to let you know that Brian's grandma passed away late last night. She has fought a brief battle with cancer. We are able to grieve with hope because she was a christian woman and is now in a much better place. We ask that you pray for our family as we grieve and as Brian prepares to lead the funeral service. Above all we know Gigi would want people to hear God's word preached. She leaves a big hole but we look forward to reuiniting one day with her at the feet of our Saviour.

Scott, Rachel, and Will were here for a visit.

While Scott, Rachel, and Will were here visiting Gigi, we were able to have some fun swimming, playing the Wii and decorating cupcakes.

No we have not forgotten about our blog......

We just haven't had time to breathe, let alone blog! We have had church cook-outs, a trip with Grammy (ask Samuel about his stitches!), playdates with friends, and of course gymnastics!! But here is a brief view of our summer thus far. (and yes we have needed jackets- it's been a cool one, not that we are complaining!)






I still love playing with my camera (though I've now entered the phase of wanting new lenses~~).
