Claire's favorite reading place is on the big bean bag chair. She climbs up on it and will sit there for a long time "reading". Her favorite? Panda Bear, Panda Bear.

One of Claire's favorite things to do is hold objects with her teeth, leaving her hands free to still grab whatever she can!

The Ferguson's plus one Mimi

So here are the Ferguson stuffed animal family. Starting with the big pig is Mike, Dana, Chelsea, Mimi(not a ferguson), and Emily. Sorry Lindsay, we lost you when we were taking this picture. But no worries, we have found you again and will give you your own post later! Though you guys moved away over a year ago, you are forever etched in the heart of our children! (and us.) We love you guys.

An early birthday celebration.

On Easter Sunday we also celebrated Isabelle's birthday. (a little early!) I did not think it would be a big deal to do it early. Monday morning Isabelle got up and announced that she was now 4. I said, no your birthday is in April. She looked a little confused. On Tuesday a lady at gymnastics asked Isabelle how old she was and she looked at her and said "Well, I'm 3....again." I guess she assumes she was 4 for a day!! Well, she at least got to open some fun presents. I am sure you will know which ones were her favorite!




Isabelle names all of her animals. This big penguin is now known as Mimi. (We have covered the entire Ferguson family, now we are moving on to the Bowens!)

Happy Resurrection Day!

We had a wonderful weekend, though Abby was sick and did not get to go to the Childress party on Saturday. But we made up for it on Sunday. Hope you all had a great weekend! (did anybody else's Easter include snow? It was surreal moment to hear "look it's snowing" as we are all in short-sleeved Easter dresses!)

Excuse the interruption to our blog.....

...due to the stomach bug going through our house we have been out of commission. Once we get back to looking cute we will post pictures again. Thanks for your patience and be sure to wipe down the bathrooms at all times.

It's brief, but here is a glimpse of Claire practicing her newest skill...walking with the phone in hand. (we'll practice walking and talking when we introduce her to dress up shoes.)

Kids in the snow

What do you do with 11 inches of snow?

You start building an igloo, run out of time and energy so you make it into a fort instead. Have a snowball fight, until someone gets hit in the face. (yes Brian apologized to Samuel, but it is payback for Samuel hitting Isabelle in the face earlier in the day.) And you eat snow cream and drink hot chocolate! (no pictures of the snow cream, but trust us it was yummy.)





"Do you have to show this picture when I get married?" (don't let her fool you, she hates the sand, but she LOVED the snow. She cried when I made her come inside and didn't leave the door until everybody else came in.)

It's STILL snowing....(not to take away from Claire walking!)

Yesterday, around 4pm

This morning at 8am, and it is still coming down hard! (Suppose to have over 10inches of snow.) Will post more pictures later!!

Claire's First steps.

As if a March snow storm isn't exciting enough, Claire decided to make it a truly exciting night and started walking. She has taken 10-12 steps at a time, falls down, gets up and keeps going. She is thrilled with her new skill. Ahh, my baby isn't a baby anymore!!!)

Spring Fever!!

Well, it's almost spring.....

.....and they have a fever!!


(we are in the midst of what will most likely be a record setting snow storm for this time of the year in Kentucky! Tornadoes in January, blizzards in March, our weather is truly unpredictable. FYI- 1 week ago it was 70 degrees here.)

The Sandbox, and after this no more vacation pictures, I promise.

The Sandbox is a great little place for the kids. They had a fireman there that day so the kids got to see the inside of the fire truck. The place also included a pretend store, a pirate ship, and of course sand to play in. Everybody had a blast.

The Lighthouse

Our last day in Hilton Head included a tour of part of the island from Brian's dad. It was great to hear stories of their vacations. We topped off the tour with a visit to the lighthouse. And yes, we climbed all 114 stairs to the top. We weren't sure if the kids (especially Isabelle) would make it all the way up, but to our surprise they made it quite easily! (they probably could have run up and down all afternoon.) It was a great view, even on a rainy,cloudy, and very windy day.
