Vacation June 2007

We just arrived back from vacation. We had a wonderful time catching up with friends and family. Our trip started with a stay over in Tennesse with the Haynes family. (Their daughter Heather is one of my oldest friends!) Then we traveled to North Carolina for two days with the Bowen family and then two days with Ferguson family. (not enough time with either of you!!) Next we traveled to Western Kentucky for Mae's family reunion, followed by a brief time in Crofton, Kentucky. This was topped off with two days of golf and fellowship with Brian's family back here in Louisville.

It was a great time and the following are some pictures from our trip. We wish we could have spent more time withe everybody, but we are grateful to have the chance to see you all. Enjoy our pictures from the trip!

Croft Cousins!

Kate discovered this weekend that she has some great cousins to play with. (my kids!) Better than that, her cousins almost always carry some toys with them! (Kate just has to stop long enough to be able to play with them!)

Mann family reunion.

This was Brian's mom's family reunion. Since this is the year Mae turned 60 they had a special birthday party for her. It involved lots of coal! Apparently she ate a lot of coal as a child. They say that noone could keep her out of the coal bin. I guess that is what happens when you have so many children to keep up with! (she is one of 13!!!!)

The little town of Crofton

Crofton is the town where Brian's grandma and grandpa Croft met. His great uncle and aunt still live there. (There is some family connection with the town and the name but I am not sure exactly what it is.) The founder of the town was James E. Croft and his signature greatly ressembles the same poor handwriting of both Bill and Brian! Coincidence? Maybe!

Vacation- Tennesse

This is the Haynes family who so graciously allowed all of us to crash at their house our first night of travel. Thanks Tony and Nora for the comfy beds and the great breakfast. It was great to catch up with you.

Summer Days

Christmas in June??

No, we haven't lost our minds, I know it is not Christmas yet. However we are doing a Croft family picture later this month with everyone except the dogs. (sorry Haddon and Lewis) We thought we would let Kate and Will see what kind of competition they were up against. (I mean, we wanted them to see how cute the Christmas sweaters were going to look. There is no competition among us, right Rachel and Beth?)
