Abby takes on Florida

For our homeschool co-op, Abby had to make a state or country out of cookie dough. So she decided to make Florida! Now, why the state is pink, and the ocean green? Who knows! (she is a girl) The dots in Florida represent the oranges, and the cookies at the bottom are the Florida keys!

No we are not dead, just homeschooling!

Sorry for the lack of blog postings. I do have pictures to post, and Abby has more gymnastics coming up so wait in anticipation, it will be coming soon!!!!!

We are still buzzing from the sugar high, but we had a great Reformation party at church. The kids had fun dressing up and playing games. Even Brian got into costume! (I went as a tired mom who has had sick kids all week!!!!)

The clouds parted to welcome the arrival of the cheetoh stealing ballerina! (ok, so we were to cheap to buy Claire a costume and just put a ballerina skirt on her!)

Here are the quick details and then we will post pictures and video later! Abby won 3rd place on the beam, 5th on floors and bars, and 4th all-around. She did really well especially considering this was her first meet. Way to go Abby!

Visiting The Sick- by Brian Croft

I spend a lot of time posting about the kids and not much about my husband. However I have a great opportunity to share with you what Brian has been spending his free time working on. He has been working a book on visiting the sick and it is FINALLY done! Mark Dever was kind enough to offer to write the forward for it and the book has been endorsed by a wide variety of people. It is going to officially be released mid-November and is available for pre-order here.
The book has been published by DayOne publishing which is based out of the UK. (not the University of Kentucky, the OTHER UK!) Abby's 1st competition is Saturday!

That's right folks, it is finally here! Abby has been counting down the days and is ready to compete. (who are we kidding, she was born ready to compete!!) Here is a picture of her fine tuning her best moves in her competition leotard. We will take some video this weekend and post it after the meet so stay tuned. Apologies to those who read our blog.....

I know, I know, it has been awhile since we last blogged. Before you give me any grief remember I have 4 kids, I am homeschooling 3 of them, I have laundry for all 6 of us to do, a toddler who undoes everything, a daughter in competitive gymnastics (which is where we live when we are not home or at church), a son in tennis, and a husband who just happens to be a pastor. (not to mention co op, small group, and doctor's appointments.) So, where have we been? Buried under a pile of laundry!! But here are some pictures for those of you who have read this far. (By the way Abby has her first gymnastics competition a week from today! We will post about that!) With all of that said, sorry for the lack of posting. (I think you will understand)
