Mommy hates when I do this, so I keep doing it. Yep, every time she puts me in the chair I stand right up. She spanks me, I cry, and then I do it again. It is so fun to play this game! Aren't I cute?

It's not what you think.

No, we did not get a cat. (though some of us really want one!!!) However, Grandma got a cat (which is the next best thing). The cat has no name yet, but the kids are working on it. The kids LOVE this kitty (she is only 1 year old) and all think it looks like Kyle. (the ferguson's cat.)

Parent's Night Out

Brian and I were able to enjoy a wonderful night out on the town, without the company of 4 other little people! We went to the Cheesecake factory (Chicken fetticini with sundried tomatoes, and Godiva chocolate cheesecake- just in case you were interested.), and we went to see Phantom of the Opera. It was nice to just get dressed up and not be covered in food by the end of the night! (Thanks Brian for using your manners.)

Pirate Claire

For Christmas Samuel got a book on Pirateology. After reading it to Claire she has decided to become a pirate herself.

Abby has decided to forego her career as a gymnast in order to pursue her hidden dream of becoming the next big female hockey star.

Claire's 1 year stats

Ok so the current stats on Claire from her check up today:
Length- 27 1/2 inches (10 percentile)
Weight- 16.8lbs (not on the chart-again)
Head-????I don't know but it is still on the chart!

What does it all mean? Claire is still tiny! Despite how much she eats (trust us, it would shock you!) she is still not gaining weight well. At this point our doctor says it is not a concern, but we are rechecking her weight in a month. Until then, eat on!!

Happy Birthday to Claire!

I had this great little video made of pictures from Claire's first year, but due to technical problems I can't get it downloaded onto our blog. So here are some pictures from the first few days of her life, and then of course now! It is hard to remember just how tiny our little girl was. God has been very merciful in bringing us through our first year with Claire. She is a welcome addition to our family, and everybody loves her as if she were their own child! We love you Claire, Happy birthday. (though we know you will never remember it!)

Claire turns 1 this week!!!

Brian may have perfected the art of eating wings (click on link and scroll down.),however Claire has perfected eating cupcakes. Like father, like daughter!

First, kiss it. "Oh my little cupcake, where have you been all my year?" (spoken with a french accent)

Next, taste it.

Finally, smear it all over. (oh yeah, and be sure to shove some up your nose for later.)

Some of you have asked how it is going with Abby and Isabelle sharing a bed. You be the judge!

When the cat is away, the mouse will........

REMODEL!! Brian is gone, taking his grandma to Florida, and Samuel is with them. While he is away I decided to take on a project. (surprised?) So I redid the kids rooms which included switching Samuel's room and the girl's room. So don't be confused on the paint, what was once the girls is now Samuel's. (you get the point!)
